Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the Justice Department is not pursuing widely circulated conspiracy claims tied to financier Jeffrey Epstein, stating there is no evidence to support several of the allegations.
In remarks addressing ongoing public speculation, Blanche said theories such as “Pizzagate” have been fully debunked and will not be investigated. He also dismissed claims that Epstein maintained a secret “client list,” saying he is not aware of any such document.
Blanche further stated that investigators have found no evidence linking Epstein to foreign governments or espionage activity, countering claims that the disgraced financier operated as part of an international intelligence network.
The Justice Department has faced continued pressure from some lawmakers and commentators to release additional information related to Epstein’s associates and activities. However, officials have consistently cautioned that speculation online often goes beyond what has been substantiated in court records or official investigations.
Blanche, who reports to Attorney General Pam Bondi, said the department remains focused on evidence-based prosecutions rather than unverified claims.
Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges, died in custody later that year. His case continues to generate public interest and controversy, with ongoing calls for transparency balanced against the limits of confirmed evidence.
